If it's not one thing it's another
Life goes on but to what end?
We wander to and fro and then,
we find ourselves back once again.
Where dismal feelings make us tend,
to use cliches our minds to mend.
It doesn't have to be that way.
For even on our darkest day,
if we but turn to God and pray,
He'll show us to the narrow way
while in this world we must stay.
And when our journey we complete,
when we behold His hands and feet,
The joy we feel will be so sweet.
For sorrow, pain, their end will meet.
And for that goal we should compete.
We wander to and fro and then,
we find ourselves back once again.
Where dismal feelings make us tend,
to use cliches our minds to mend.
It doesn't have to be that way.
For even on our darkest day,
if we but turn to God and pray,
He'll show us to the narrow way
while in this world we must stay.
And when our journey we complete,
when we behold His hands and feet,
The joy we feel will be so sweet.
For sorrow, pain, their end will meet.
And for that goal we should compete.
